What's Wrong with this Picture?

At first glance, it seems that the young, studly Brady is lounging on an acceptable surface, enjoying a snack...but no...he has actually settled himself onto the dining room table. Whatever makes him happy!

Ummm: Brady's answer when asked to choose between two things.

No (said casually with a bored attitude): Brady's answer when asked if he's ok.

"La Lo You": I love you, first said to Nonni Fletcher on January25.

Mess, mess: Brady's utter annoyance at the audacity of anyone to spill anything. This is followed by a trip to the towel drawer, retrieval of a towel, and mopping up of the afore-mentioned mess. Then, a return to replace the towel. (Whose kid is he?)

Color: Brady's first utterance when he sees anything that looks even remotely like a pen, crayon, paint brush, or pencil.

Cereal: Brady's choice for breakfast (whenever he is actually given a choice). I wish that you could hear how he actually pronounces is (ceREal)...it's so cute!

...Doopitie Doo! This little guy is coming for you!

What a nut...if he's not trying on my boots, then he's trying to sit on the couch via flinging himself backwards from a "bridge" position. Needless to say, life has been both fun and interesting lately!

* Today, while watching Mickey, he named several of the characters during the "roll call"!

Favorite Activities: dancing, singing, reading books, painting or coloring, playing with his friends. playing with trains or cars, jumping in puddles

Things to Show Off: Labels pictures in books, body parts, people

Waves and says hello or goodbye to everyone on the street when we are walking.

Hugs other kids in what we refer to as a "Love fest" when he is really happy.

Eats all of his lunch at day care when he's there.

Does the motions to The Wheels on the Bus and some other songs.

Sleeps in a big boy bed, pretty much through the night (even though we have changed time zones once again!).

Often points to his diaper and says poo-poo when he has gone.

Sits on the potty several times a day (He has never gone on it, but laughs like hell when he toots).

Things we would like to sweep under the rug: He sometimes hits his parents or friends when he wants something and isn't getting it. (He's almost 2...that's what we're banking on).

Goes into the cabinets by himself in search of a sweet treat.

What can we say? Jeremy and I are more smitten than ever with out little angel!

Just Being Polite

Seeing as the name of the museum IS "Please Touch" we taught Brady that the polite thing to do is touch....everything. And what a grand ol' time it was. In the top picture, Brady is fulfilling a life-long dream of driving a bus. He asks to sing "The Wheels on the Bus" every single day to remind himself of that wonderful moment. Now, one can only ask...what comes next? What can a kid do when he's reached his goals at 20 months old?

The Please Touch Museum

After slightly neglecting our child throughout the business of the wedding, we decided that we needed to make it up to him by doing something just for him (because, you know, Brady rarely gets attention or special treats). We took him to the "Please Touch" Museum in Philadelphia where he had a blast. He got to wear a costume while he participated in a tea party with the Mad Hatter, and he drove a tractor through an indoor farmland. He had a great time, and so did we. In all honesty, I hate to be told not to touch things, so it was refreshing for once not to have to wrestle Brady to the ground if he got too close to a Renoir. Obviously, there were no Renoirs at this museum, but there WAS a giant water table with boats and fish...life was good that day!

Proof: They actually did it!

I FOUND ONE OF ERIC!!! Thanks to Regan's friends, I found a wedding picture of Eric...he was actually there, and they actually got married! Who hoo! What a beautiful couple.

Did I Mention...

...that everyone had a great time at the wedding? I'm just going to let everyone infer whatever they like about the above photos.

I also need to take a minute to apologize to the groom. I was pretty busy with the bride on the the wedding day, and when we went back to look at the pictures, we realized that we don't have any of the groom on our camera. As soon as we can get our hands on one, I will post it!
