Special

Brady had an amazing time decorating the tree this year. Having him at an age to really enjoy these things seems to be making everything more special. I will always remember the 2 branches that he chose to put every ornament on, and how we had to go back and move them after he fell asleep so that the tree wouldn't be lopsided.
And while I have a picture of Carson wearing a hoodie, I have to make the obligatory L.L. Cool J comment: " Don't call it a comeback..." Sorry, it had to be done.
I think that I am caught up for a while. Merry Christmas, Everybody!

Phew!

Ok, I got that out of my system. I even managed to throw Jeremy in one of the pictures! Just a little update: At his 2 week appointment, Carson weighed 9 pounds 6 ounces...a pound more than the day he was born. Did I mention that I love chub?!

I Told You

And there are more to come. Consider yourself warned.

I Couldn't Pick Just One

Or two, or three. There are more to come in the next post. Chub! I love chub!!!

Oh, The Weather Outside is...

is...65 degrees and sunny, making it nearly impossible to get into the Christmas spirit. Hey, I said NEARLY impossible. Throw some Christmas hats on the boys, play carols, dump a big pile of slushy "snow" on the ground, and, while you're at it, plop Santa by the fire place, and what do we have?!...Our neighborhood "Snow Day"! Carson may have been unimpressed, but Brady had a blast.

Playing Catch Up

Sorry folks...here are some pictures of feeding the ducks and trick-or-treating on Halloween day. Is it really December already?! Well, you have to at least take into account that most of my updating these days happens one-handedly while feeding Carson.

All My Boys

My Cup Overfloweth...

Daily Fix of Eye Candy

Squeeze, smooch, sniff, nuzzle, cuddle, adore...all the words that describe what I am doing with my time these days. All mothers love their children, of course, but I have the advantage of having such a squeezable, smooch-able, sniff-able, nuzzle-able, cuddle-able, adorable baby. Plus, a 2-year-old with the same attributes. So, as you can see, I am really just too busy these days. By the way, can you see that my genius son has learned how to such his thumb? I may be a proud, partial momma, but the proof is in the pictures...you can't argue with proof (don't you watch CSI?)!

Holiday Preview

So, the death threats can stop...I have finally found a minute to post a few more pictures. Regan took the opportunity to take some awesome pictures of our boys while she was here. The best one is being saved for our Christmas card/birth announcement, but I thought I would give you a little taste. I will do more when I can!

Easing Back into the Routine

This post was started 2 hours ago with an irritated newborn in my arms, so please bear with me over the next few weeks (months...years...) while I get myself organized. For now, you will get what I can give...fragments.

Fall Creek Fall Festival

I really don't think that Brady could have been happier at our fall festival. Nonni and Boo-boo were in town, he got to wear his costume, he rode a train and pony, and all of the games were "no-lose". The only downside was the 85 degree weather and the sun beating down. Nonni and Boo would have you think that the downside was the fact that Brady didn't win the costume contest. They believe that it was rigged, and I am still having to hear about it! Oh well, maybe next year I will have to be one of the judges!

Pumpkin Time!

We managed to sneak into our neighborhood's "pumpkin patch" a few days before the fall festival so that we could snag some pictures without having to wait in line. Madeline and Owen were ready for their close-ups, but Brady was much more interested in playing!

And I Do My Little Turn on the Catwalk

Please enjoy some picture day eye candy of our handsome little man. Sure it was 85 degrees here, but this total professional carried off the fall look without so much as a sweat bead. Stay tuned for pics from the actual school photo shoot!

A Successful Day

Pumpkins: Bought
Energy: Spent
Fun: Had
Kids: Sleeping
Smell: Sweet Success

More from the Farm

The hayride...Brady could have cared less about the pumpkins that were waiting to be picked at the end of the hayride...he didn't want to get off!

A Day at the Pumpkin Patch

I consider myself to be a pretty young mom...you know, on top of the latest things. But I have to admit that so many things have changed since I was a kid. The gal who is babysitting Brady this weekend had to be reminded by her mother not to be texting while she is watching him, we got to choose which background Brady sat in front of for his school pictures (we decided against "Cashmere" and settled on "A Stroll in the Park"), and a day at the pumpkin patch doesn't just involve picking out pumpkins anymore. We actually never made it to the "patch" until after the kids played on a giant playground, jumped in the hay AND on a giant air-filled pillow, rode on a barrel train, ate lunch, sat on a tractor, listened to some singing chickens, then took a hay ride out to where the pumpkins were growing. They had such a great time! There was so much to do, that we finally just had to leave so that the exhausted kids could take a nap on the way home! My friend, Jennifer, was such a trooper, carrying her 6-month-old around while chasing after her 2-year-old, Madeline. I can't wait to go back next year!

More pictures to come!

Part Dos

There are no words...

Get Ready to Pee Your Pants

No, seriously...you might want to put a towel down before watching this video. Last night we went to a local Mexican restaurant for dinner and sat outside with some loud Mexican music. Well, Brady was drawn in by the music and his little body took over...he just couldn't sit still. He was a dancing machine for about 15 minutes, creating dance moves never previously performed and wowing the crowd. My only regret is that I was laughing so hard, I couldn't quite keep the camera from shaking.

Thanks, Cupcake!

To celebrate the imminent arrival of our family's newest member, my thoughtful friend, Beth (who makes AMAZING cakes, by the way) took me out to lunch, lavished me with adorable gifts for the baby (and Brady), and made the most creative, yummy cupcakes (seen above) each with a little "pea in the pod" on top. We had such a great time, and I am totally going to have to take "thoughtful" lessons from her before doing nice things for anyone else!
Later that evening, Brady partook of a cupcake, and obviously enjoyed it immensely! How it ended up on his forehead, I will never be able to tell you.

Good Times

Thanks to a postcard from Aunt Reggie, Brady and I had hours of fun at the dinner table, even though Jeremy was away this week. I can add one more blessing to my list: My son has an awesome sense of humor.
