Buddha, Buddha, Buddha

These adorable pictures beg the question: Are man boobs ok on babies?

Just TRY to resist!

I dare you to try to resist this cuteness. There is obviously a master plan here, because, even when Carson was crying all of the time, I had to sit back and notice how cute and chubby he is. I can't stop kissing his little face. And Brady is so darn funny, I can't seem to stay frustrated or angry!
Jeremy went on a trip today to do recruiting at Penn State. Brady's take on the situation? "Daddy's going to find new friends, and he's going to bring me a present!"

Perceptions of Christmas

Brady was sitting on my lap while I downloaded these pictures, and we chatted about opening presents, Santa, and Christmas. His reaction..."I love opening presents. I love Santa." Now, compare that sentiment to Carson's face in the third picture. When he was awake, Carson seemed to think that Christmas, Santa, and, of course his Cabbage Patch kid, Dexter, were terrifying. He was happy to sleep though the festivities. I have already decided that I will use this very picture to use in the "Guess Whose Baby Picture" game they will probably play one day when he is a linebacker on his high school football team.

Tradition...Tradition!

Growing up, my brother, sister and I always had to sit at the top of the stairs on Christmas morning to wait for my Nona and Poppy to get to our house before we could open presents from Santa. So, of course I felt like I needed to make the boys do the same even though Santa comes to their Nonni and Poppy's house. One day, they will make their children do the same and have NO idea why. Hopefully, when that day comes, they will just know that it's a tradition.

Cookies for Santa

And the top pic is of the new lacrosse net and sticks that Brady got for Xmas. Uncle Blaise and Aunt Jenny are being proactive in cultivating his lacrosse skills...scholarship to Princeton, here we come!

Family Ties

Family is a huge part of our lives, and we are passing that on to the boys. We really enjoy and appreciate the time, effort, gifts, etc. that everyone in our family puts in to being a part of Brady and Carson's lives, and we hope that you all know that you are a huge part of what makes them happy, secure, and confident kids (I'm pretty sure that Carson will be when he wakes up once in a while). Thank you!

Carson's Christening

Yeah...about the whole "I'll get caught up this week" thing...Parenting your own children by yourself is HARD (to be read with a hint of whining, like a spoiled child). Anyway, this pity-party reminds me of a much more fun celebration that we had over the holidays...the Baptism of our dear little Carson. A whole group of family came out for the joyous event, and the energetic priest made us feel like it was the most exciting day of his life. The celebration ended with a fun Italian dinner and, of course, cake! Not a bad way to be cleansed of original sin.
By the way, as of today, Carson is 13 pounds 4 ounces (big), 23 inches tall (average), and on his way to being immunized against 7 childhood illnesses...oh yeah, and GRUMPY!!!

And We're Back

Did you miss us? Well, we are finally back from PA and I will do my best to get caught up this week. But I will warn you that I am still typing one-handed quite often. While very adorable and squeezable, little Carsion is proving to be a bit of a diva. Every day is getting better, but my high-mantenance kids are winning most of my time. Is it because I do too much squeezing? Well, it's their fault for being so cute!
