Signing Off For Now...

We all knew this was coming, but boy it snuck up on us! On Wednesday and Thursday, the moving crew will be here to pack up our stuff. On Friday, the nifty little elevator truck will lift everything down from our apartment, and it will be whisked away (over 6 weeks) to Houston, Texas. For those of you who aren't aware of the plan, we are flying to Houston on March 28th. On that Sunday, Jeremy will stay in Houston to start work, and Brady and I will fly on to my parent's house. Hopefully, we will have a home chosen and have settled by the time that our shipment of stuff arrives in Houston. It's exciting!
The point is that I will not have access to anything to update the website for a while, so please be understanding (no more death threats, Aunt Boo)!
As for some final Brady news before I go, he is talking up a storm. He repeats EVERYTHING, so we all have to be careful what we say (Regan). He loves to watch TV, but I am reassured that he also loves to play with his toys and friends ever since we sold our only TV a few weeks ago. I wish that I could say that I hang my head in shame when he asks for the "Marty DD" (Madagascar DVD), but I am secretly relieved that he will be entertained by the movies on the flight.
He goes pee pee on the potty almost every morning, but is still nowhere near ready to be potty trained just yet. I think that he just squeezes out a few drops for the attention (and, of course, the potty song).
Brady still loves to play with cars, trucks, airplanes, buses, and trains. He is a boy in every sense of the word. We talk about these things all day long, make the noises, drive them around, and search for them. It so much fun to see him developing interests and hear him talking about them.
I wish that I could think of ONE funny thing that he has said lately, but I am losing my mind!
I will write again as soon as I can, and we can' wait to see everyone!

Paula's Shower!

You all have seen many pictures of Brady's best buddy, Louisa, but Cica's Mommy, Paula, has barely made it into any! Well, when we all got together and had a small shower for her last week, she was looking radiant, and I couldn't help myself. Paula is such a great friend to everyone, and we are really going to miss having friends like her close by when we get to Houston. Luckily, I have already planned my trip to Ottawa...next year, we are going to brave the winter weather to help extract maple syrup!
Anywho, I totally got off of the subject. The shower was fun, the kids were well-behaved, and Paula's baby-to-be gained some great new gear!

My Future's So Bright, I Gotta Wear Shades

There is possibly no one in this world cooler than our son. Who else can give that kind of look with Mickey shades on at age 22 months?

A Wonderful Visit from Nonni and Boo-boo

One of the wonderful things about having your mother and aunt visit is that they can spoil Brady all they want, and I don't have to feel guilty because I'm not the one doing the spoiling, but he still totally feels like he's getting away with everything! When we went to Muncheau, Germany, they immediately bought him a toy bus to play with, then taught him how to have a snowball fight. For once, he had a great time while we drug him around to do grown-up things! Brady was very sad to see them go!

And...I'm...Spent.

This was the scene at the end of a very long day in Disney that lead me to believe that maybe, JUST maybe, Brady wanted to go home. This is how it went down: We were walking, we were shopping, Brady stops, lays down face-first on the floor, rolls over to face us, and refuses to move. Hint taken, we had Brady on the train back to Paris only minutes after his little, tired protest!

When you wish upon a star...

... You wake up next to 2 wart hogs watching the Lion King show in EuroDisney. So, what do you do? Survey the situation, shrug, and start clapping along...what else would anyone do? Brady was actually able to nap while we were at the park, then he happily woke up to animals singing and dancing (some in costumes that were a little too tight to leave anything to the imagination). What else was there for him to do but join in the fun?! You gotta love such an easy-going kid.

Euro Disneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeey!

Who was more excited to be there, Brady or me? I honestly can't tell you. Nonni, Boo, Brady and I spent the day in EuroDisney, outside of Paris. It was cold, a little rainy, and AWESOME! Truth be told, I didn't really care for Disney world as a little girl, but taking your kid there is so much better! Brady was up for everything. We went on the teacups, and the faster we spun, the harder he giggled. The park was actually pretty crowded, but we managed to make it on to some of the best rides.
Oh, and one more thing....It's a small world after all...!
Now I got that song in your head! Ha ha ha!

Party Time in Paris!

When Brady got together with his Nonni and Aunt Boo boo in Paris, things got a little crazy, and he partied like a rock star. The obvious result....undies on the head...and over the pants. But in his defence, Brady was really excited about seeing his family AND the suitcase full of goodies that they brought him. By the time that the "Cars" underpants made it out, he just couldn't contain himself. These pics, of course, are being kept for our first meeting with his first girlfriend.
