Brady Starts Kindergarten

I really couldn't think of a fancier way to title this post. My baby is going to Kindergarten and I am a mess! I cried a whole bunch tonight, and I'm hoping that I will be OK tomorrow. It's just amazing how protective I feel...I want everyone to love him as much as I do, and I don't want anyone to ever be mean to him. Plus, I want to keep and eye on him to be sure that he's making good decisions! This new territory is hard, and while my brain knows that I will get involved in his new school and he will be really happy there, by heart is feeling like I'm just not ready! The bottom line is that Brady is ready, so we just have to get through these first few days and all will be OK. Sigh.

P.S. I added some other pictures of what the boys have been doing on their last few days of summer. Happy they were to dress up like Master Yoda and Luke Skywalker!

Carson Relaxes

After bath time, Carson's favorite thing to do is curl up on the floor with his towel wrapped around him and his coolie in the air. He still thinks I can't see him if he can't see me. Is that normal? Regardless, I will be sad when it changes...it's so cute!

Bathtime and Name Practice...huh?

Here's the set-up: Nonni and Poppy are visiting, Carson and Brady are in the bathtub "shaving" with shaving cream soap, and we all decided it was a good time to practice life skills with Carson. For some reason, the kid always answers "me" when you ask him what his name is. So, we decided to use the attraction of the shaving soap to bribe Carson into saying his name. He started off pronouncing it with a french accent, vaguely leaving off the "n" at the end. By the end of our "practice", he was calling himself "Carsie". We're getting there!

PS: Good times were had by all.

Sorry for the Delay

In my head, it sounded like a really great idea to pull Brady out of school this summer, and not really sign him up for any "drop-off" classes. Well, we are having a great time together, but I'm not getting ANYTHING done during the day, and at night, all I want to do is relax and have some peace...so, having said that, savor these pictures because they will be few-and-far-between this summer!
PS - Does Carson's head look abnormally HUGE in these pictures? Well, it's actually only in the 25th percentile...imagine that.
