More Birthday Pictures

I can tell that my little boy is growing up because, as gifts, he received some board games, action figures, tiny Lego's, Nerf weaponry, and many of these gifts were in Star Wars or Spider Man bags...and, by the way, he LOVED all of it. I had no idea that he knew about Star Wars, but apparently, it's in the "How to be a Boy" manual as something all boys must know by age 4. Sniff, sniff. By baby's growing up.

Brady's Birthday, Everybody Wins

I must admit that I worried all week about the 23 (that became 25 by party day) young children attending Brady' birthday party at The Little Gym. Well, it wasn't' the kids that I was worried about exactly, it was more the management of said kids. That's a lot of freakin' kids to put in any room together, but throw in a few balance beams, some bars to hang from, and a wedge powered by springs, and you are ASKING for turmoil. But I was wrong...the two young people in charge of the party ran it beautifully and the kids seemed to have a blast. The only hard part was the fact that it occurred in a whirl-wind leaving me worried that I hadn't properly greeted or "seen-off" all of our friends!

By the way, Carson had almost as much fun as the birthday boy.

More Un-Printed Shots from Picture Day

We ended up with a CD of all the photos taken today. These are a bunch of pictures that we didn't end up using. Carson just wasn't himself, but he has a whole year to get it together!

Picture Day - 2010!

There is a long list of things that I LOVE. This list includes dresses with pockets, shoes with bows, babies with cellulite (preferably named Chip), smutty books, emotional books, funny books, riding on vehicles made for toddlers, and...dressing my kids in matching outfits! So, you can imagine why I woke up in a wonderful mood on this, Picture Day 2010!

However, 2 hours later, after playing peek-a-boo and pretending I was a monkey (both things that have appeared on the list of things that I love) until sweat was gathering on my upper lip while STILL not managing to get Carson, my smiley kid, to smile, picture day seems to have slipped a few places on the list. Or maybe just "picture day when one of the photographed is only 18 months old". Anyway, Brady smiled and giggled brilliantly and we ended up still spending a small fortune. Everyone send me an email to request sizes and check your mailbox for photos of my adorable, matchy-matchy boys!

PS - I sort of ended up being a little "yelly" today because of all of the things that I had to run around and do (of course, I expected the boys to be perfect angels while they were being dragged around, primped and photographed). At dinner Brady told me that I yell too much and he doesn't like it. I felt horrible...being told that I yell too much is now on the list of things that I HATE. And I'm working on the yelling thing.

The Touchdown Dance

My quirky children: Brady has taken to naming animals after other animals. For example, the horse on the way home from school has been lovingly (albeit confusingly) named Goldfish, while his goldfish are named Cat and Dog (Mrs. Wishy-washy passed away last week, God rest her little fishy soul). Carson says no, even when he means yes, and his arms look like a football coach giving orders from the sideline every time I ask him to say please (he doesn't like to miss out on a snack just because he finds sign language confusing). But, no one can ever accuse my children of not being All-American. They love to play football around the house, and they have learned, from a young age, the importance of...The Touchdown Dance.

I think that we all know my true feelings about the Texas culture, but even I got into the festivities. Don't mock me...I guarentee you would have been busting out in a line dance, too.
