I really do feel sorry that I haven't updated our blog in a while. But, I seriously think that I deserve a break. All of our worldly possessions are being moved out of our apartment in 3 and a half WEEKS! They will put everything on a ship across the ocean and send it to...wait...we have NO idea yet! We have been looking at houses online and we are getting more and more excited to move into an actual house...with an actual yard...and no elevators. It's going to be great! In the mean time, I will do my best to take some fun pictures of Brady and get them up here. Just remember that there will be a while there while our computer is braving the ocean waves...so no blogging then! I will try to keep the updates coming!

The Chocolate Soul Patch
But what's NOT funny is what the fancy dining-room chair looked like when he was finished. Sorry Karin!
Elizabeth's Birthday Party!
Decorating cupcakes was a HUGE hit at Elizabeth's Pooh-themed party! And when I say a hit, I mean for the kids AND the adults. I actually had to ask Paula if I had chocolate on my face. The birthday girl got into the task, taking it very seriously, but Brady on the other hand dug right in, barely smearing the icing on before chowing down. I can't complain...he takes after me. If we weren't in someone else's home, I probably would have just gotten a spoon and eaten the icing out of its container. Yum!
The Buddies Taking Advantage
As most of you probably heard, we found out recently that we will be moving to Houston, Texas in less than 2 months. Brady and Louisa got wind of this news, and have been trying to make the most of every minute together! They have been spending their days reading books, playing, dancing, and when we had dinner over there the other night, Brady tried to invite himself to sleep over by jumping in Louisa's bed and starting to read a book. Lou-lou didn't seem to mind! I wonder if he'll still try to pull this stuff when he's older?

BIG NEWS!!!
He was dry when he woke up, so I stuck him on the potty and he peed. Then, when he was done, he asked to flush, we sang the potty song, and I washed his hands. As the cold water hit his hands he began to pee again on the bathroom carpet. He looked down and said, "Oh, Man!". Then he said, "Mess, mess"! I LOVE this kid!
By the way, the above picture is not a picture of Brady on the potty. I just thought I'd treat everyone to a picture of him watching "Cars".

Credit Where Credit is Due
It seems that in my haste to post funny stories about Brady, I forgot to give credit to the person who taugh Brady how to sing the "Jaws" theme song while pretending like his shark is eating things. Thank you, Aunt Reggie, for imparting that knowledge into our little boy.
And, while I'm at it, I had better thank Brady's Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Jk for buying him the shark!

Hanging Out
Well, we definitely know whose child Brady is...Between his new love of watching movies accompanied with his old love of raiding the cabinets and grabbing a sweet snack, we know for sure that he definitely belongs to me and Jeremy. One of the newest phrases in his repertoire is "golf ball". Of course, it actually doesn't sound like he's saying golf ball at all, we just happen to know that's what he's saying. He has also started chatting on the phone (adding the word "umm" in there every few words, just to accurately copy his mama), sticking stickers all over the windows and his toys (paper is just not as much fun), and singing "duh-nu duh-nu duh-nu AAAAAAAH" while pretending that his tub shark is eating my ears. Watching his imagination, knowledge of words, and sense of humor grow is a constant highlight of my life.
Neurotic Child
When I ask myself why my child insists on shouting "mess" when something spills, and then rushes to clean it up...it makes me wonder if he gets it from his mother. So, every once in a while, in an extremely controlled environment (the bathroom), Brady and I let our hair down and paint all over the place. Unfortunately, Brady found it difficult to let his hair down this time (quite understandably, but we try not to discuss the hair situation in his presence). He insisted on using a washcloth to immediately clean up any paint that spilled on the floor. So, to help him loosen up a little bit, I painted some hair on his head (to let down), and then added some ironic "angry eyebrows". We ended up having a blast, of course...As Brady would say "Silly Mommy"!
