Bing, Bang, Boom. That's the best way to describe Brady's 3rd birthday party at "Jumpin' Joey's". Schedule of events: Jump for a while in giant air-filled structures, eat pizza, eat cake, go home and open presents. It was easy, it was organized, and I had to do almost nothing. I would recommend it to anyone! I guess that I should also add, more importantly, that Brady had a blast (and so did Carson, whom Jeremy illegally took down one of the slides). I can't believe my baby's 3!

Mowa Easter Pics
"Mowa" is how Brady pronounces the word "more" since we aren't quite there yet with the "r" sound...and "mowa" was what he kept asking for from his Easter basket. The bunny was very good to him, and I must admit that I have been sneaking a treat here and there (he doesn't need all of that sugar!).
And, I'd like to give myself a pat on the back for getting the boys outfits together...my mom should be proud!

Share the Wealth
I thought I would just take a quick minute to share some of the funny things that our boys have been saying and doing lately.
Brady: When prompted to go to the potty, he puts his hand in your face and says "I'll TELL you!" Yeah, he totally give us the set-down.
"We only have Daddy's peanut butter? Awww, for Chr@#* sake!"
"I got TWO Easter baskets!", when he woke up and saw his and Carson's.
When saying our evening prayer " ...to who Od's love EMITS us here..."
"Mommy, we're best friends in the whole wide world" (Don't worry, he has more than one...no one needs to off me)
Carson: Our jolly little boy, who shakes when he laughs like a bowl full of jelly, has been crying when we put him down to sleep. If we go in to check on him, he stops crying immediately and smiles at you. Honestly, the kid's pretty smart. My defenses are rendered useless against his tricky tactics.
When he's finished eating, he blows raspberries all over the "feeder". BUT, today, he tried applesauce for the first time and, needless to say, not a drop was spit, spilled, or left in the jar...and I've never seem him cry tears more real than the ones he cried when the jar was empty. I think it's safe to say that he has his mother's sweet tooth. Sigh.
Excuse Me, I'm a Little Horse
At St. Clare's Monastery in Brenham, Texas the pony that Brady was petting (yes, it's really shorter than him, it's not an illusion) was NOT the smallest one that we saw. They were so neat and tiny...and I can't even express just how happy it makes me to be able to use my "little horse" joke. Ahhh, it's the little things.
By the way, I know that I said I would stop bragging when I found out that people who aren't in our family read this blog, but I can't help myself this time. My kids are so cute I could cry.
Bouncing in the Blue Bonnets
See how I used alliteration there?...um...Anyway, I think that I mentioned before that Brady is in a phase where he makes a constipated face whenever we try to take pictures. In this particular case, I don't really think that it mattered. He looked so cute sitting in a field full of blue bonnets by the side of the road in Chappell Hill, Texas...it didn't really matter what face he was making. We took a lovely day trip that ended in the discovery of an amazing new outlet mall! Sometimes, life is just so good.

The Dream Team
Whereas Brady formerly sprang into a smile when he shouted the word "CHEESE", now he manages to look constipated, and even a little annoyed. Oh well, I am their mother and I am entitled to think that they are the most handsome boys in the world (Nonni, Grandma Janet, Grammy, G-Non, and Boo, you are all supposed to think that, too...it's your job.)
But in all seriousness, we were on our way to an Easter egg hunt in these photos, and I just want to cry when I think about how much I love these special boys!

Right Before Our Eyes
"They" say that we should appreciate everything that our children do because they grow up so fast. Well, Jeremy and I decided to just go with the flow and skip Carson right into a "big boy" bed. He seems ready, don't you think?
The true story: Greedy Tara and Jeremy wanted a king-sized bed, so the queen went to the spare room, Brady got the full, and Carson inherited the day bed. He likes it! But we are sticking to the crib for now.

Proud Parents
I thought long and hard about whether this picture was appropriate for our blog, but in the end, I just couldn't help myself. We are so proud of our little boy, and how hard he is working to become potty trained! Obviously, Jeremy is teaching him a thing or 2 because that's the hand-held Yahtzee game that he's playing. Brady is getting so close to being finished with diapers, but we could use a little prayer from everyone to get there a little faster!
A Weighty Situation
At Carson's recent 4-month check-up, we learned that he dropped from the 85th to the 50th percentile for his weight (he is now about 15.5 pounds). The doctor said it was nothing to be concerned about, but, of course, us Italians are wired to worry about how much our children eat. I have felt like Carson is a "good eater" since the day he was born, so I was a little stumped as to how he could not be keeping up his bulk. Well, after careful consideration, and assessing the situation in retrospect through photos, I can see that Carson is not actually CONSUMING as much food as is being given to him. Honestly, if I could find a way to measure the amount of food on his face, hands, clothes, and seat (not to mention all over me), it would probably equal at least half of what started out in the bowl. Feeding him is truly a giant task. Half the time I just strip him down to a diaper before diving in! The kid is an enthusiastic eater, but I will be really happy when he learns that letting me use the spoon will get more food in his belly.
Rock on Dude
I'm a mother of 2 young children, so I am totally allowed to say nerdy things like that. We can thank Jeremy for introducing Brady to his public Mohawk. An innocent coif done up after his nightly bath inspired Brady to beg for the gel and comb before school the next day. I must admit that this hair-do does become the "Osterstock" hair line. What do you think EM would say if Jeremy decided to sport one to work?!
